PLASTIC GIFT RELEASE DEBUT SINGLE ‘TIGER LILY’

South London based seven piece, Plastic Gift are set to release their debut single on the independent Manchester collective 6a6y 6 Records on the 14th of May 2021.

Tiger Lily’, self recorded in Peckham and produced by Robin Williams, will be a double A – side release with ‘Infinity Pool’ on limited edition cassette tape and available digitally together with an accompanying video.

Taking inspiration from the attitude, sounds and intensity of Spiritualized, Spacemen 3, Fire Engines, 13th Floor Elevators and The Stooges, Plastic Gift were formed initially as a solo project by Emil Isa in Manchester just over eighteen months ago. The multi instrumentalist set about writing a set of songs in his home studio which saw the him play everything, except the saxophone and trumpet, then record the results into old tape machines.

The intention was always to bring those tunes to a band and play them live and although having just moved to London at the beginning of lockdown, Emil quickly managed to bring together a powerful set of like minded collaborators in the shape of Cian (drums), Oliver (bass), Joseph (guitar), Ben (guitar), Harry (Saxophone/Piano) and Matthew (Synthesizer).

Currently in the studio putting the finishing touches to a their debut album, Plastic Gift will play their first ever live dates in May at The George Tavern in East London and The White Hotel in Manchester to coincide with the single release.

LIVE DATES:

MAY 23RD  THE GEORGE TAVERN, LONDON

MAY 30TH  THE WHITE HOTEL, MANCHESTER
