Global fan community platform Weverse announced that renowned boy band PRETTYMUCH is opening their own Weverse community today. They are the fifth artist from abroad to join Weverse in addition to Gracie Abrams, New Hope Club, Alexander 23, and Jeremy Zucker.
Since forming in 2016 by esteemed music producer and executive Simon Cowell, the American/Canadian pop group – comprised of Nick Mara, Brandon Arrega, Edwin Honoret, Zion Kuwonu, and Austin Porter – have taken the music world by storm, accumulating more than a billion audio and video streams, selling out stages across the globe, performing on the biggest award show stages, and scoring multiple brand partnerships, all while earning acclaim from fans and critics alike.
With outstanding vocals and performances, PRETTYMUCH released their debut single “Would You Mind” in 2017 to worldwide acclaim as one of America’s next generation of boybands. The band gained attention from fans and critics through songs released in the beginning years of their career such as “Would You Mind,” “Teacher,” and “Summer On You.”
The band also achieved continued success with 2019 EPs Phases and INTL:EP, selling out two headline tours, earning buzz from Rolling Stone, MTV, Complex, Los Angeles Times, and landing a spot in Billboard’s “21 Under 21” three years in a row.
PRETTYMUCH started a new era of her career earlier this year by signing with the global music label Sire Records. Each member participated in writing, composing, producing, and packaging of their latest EP Smackables released in February this year, with praise from the likes of The New York Times, GQ, MTV, Stereogum, Popsugar, and PEOPLE, who applauded their “fresh, R&B and mature vibe that sets the boys apart from other groups.”
As much as they have actively communicated with fans from all over the world through various social media platforms, PRETTYMUCH is seeking to communicate with fans more intimately upon joining Weverse, sharing not only stories of their daily lives but also their upcoming album.
Weverse will hold a hashtag contest to celebrate the launch of PRETTYMUCH’s community. From May 4 to May 10, anyone posting a message on PRETTYMUCH’s Weverse that includes the hashtag #FAV_PRETTYMUCHMOMENT along with favorite images of the band and welcome greetings automatically enters the contest. 20 varsity hoodies will be given out as a prize through a lottery.Weverse is currently operating communities for artists like BTS, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, GFRIEND, SEVENTEEN, NU’EST, ENHYPEN, CL, P1Harmony, Weeekly, Sunmi, Henry, Dreamcatcher, Gracie Abrams, New Hope Club, Alexander 23, MIRAE, TREASURE, Letteamor, Jeremy Zucker, reaffirming the platform’s position as the “No.1 global fan platform”
