“We shot the video in two days all over SoCal,” shares DENM. “Jared Watson is just a legend for being down to go on 6-hour road trips just to get the shot. We got to make some art that we love.”
Discussing their collaboration, Jared Watson adds, “DENM reached out to me and I liked what I heard. But it wasn’t until I got in the studio with him that I was really blown away. He has that effortless talent. Not only with his voice but his vision and production. On a musical level, on a personal level, and on a creative level, the connection was there instantly. And you can hear that in the originality of ‘Califas.’ We chatted for a bit, bounced ideas around and then like that, we banged that song out in one session. It was done in hours, that’s how you know you have something special.”
