5 Creams that Relieve Pain Naturally

These days, there are so many pain relief cream options out there. Many people like to avoid steroid creams or numbing creams and like to opt instead for something that satiates the pain naturally. Thankfully, if you like to relieve your pain naturally, there are many good creams out there that can do that for you. Here are five of our favorite pain relief creams that you can get online or in stores.

1. Cannabinoid Cream

CBD has been all the rage recently, and for good reason. CBD is known to help relieve pain, reduce stress and anxiety, and help people fall asleep. Many people take it for various different reasons, and it comes in many forms such as creams, edibles, tinctures, and water-soluble oils.

However, the best option for pain relief is a CBD topical ointment. You can apply the cream directly to the skin where you’re experiencing pain and expect near rapid relief.

CBD is totally natural and contains no THC, so there’s no risk of you getting high from any CBD products. It’s a great pain reliever that is available online and in stores in some states depending on legality.

2. Hemp Cream

Hemp cream is similar to CBD cream, but instead of containing cannabinoids, it’s made from the seeds, leaves, and stalks of the hemp plant. Therefore it contains no CBD and no THC, just hemp.

Like CBD, hemp has multiple uses, but it’s mainly used for pain relief. It can help relieve discomfort because of:

  • Joint pain
  • Knee pain
  • Back pain
  • Carpal tunnel
  • Arthritis
  • Inflammation

Hemp creams are also incredibly moisturizing, so you’ll be left feeling soft, smooth, and pain-free if you choose to use a hemp cream to treat your pain and inflammation.

3. Tiger Balm

Tiger Balm is a tried and true pain relief cream that people have been using for years now. Tiger Balm treats aches, pains, and everyday discomforts by using proven oriental wisdom. Their product is trusted by generations and is a proven remedy for anyone of any age or lifestyle.

Tiger Balm has many different creams available for pain relief, including their regular cream, an “ultra” version, and an “extra” version for more intense pains.

Tiger Balm’s active ingredients are camphor and menthol, and it contains inactive ingredients such as cajuput oil, dementholized mint oil, clove oil, and cassia oil.

You should discontinue the use of this product if your condition worsens or if your pain doesn’t get better after seven days of use.

4. BioFreeze Pain Relief Gel

BioFreeze Pain Relief Gel has a cult following, that’s how good it is. It uses menthol (like Tiger Balm) as its active ingredient. It’s also the number 1 most recommended clinically by pharmacists, doctors, physical therapists, massage therapists, and more.

BioFreeze gel is known for penetrating quickly, absorbing easily, and being incredibly fast-acting. You can apply the gel to large or small areas. It’s best used on sore muscles, backaches, joint pain, and pain caused by arthritis.

5. Sombra Warm Therapy Gel

Sombra Warm Therapy Gel is another great option that uses warming and oolong gate theory to relieve pain. Gate theory is the idea that if you provide a stronger sensation to the brain (i.e. heat or cold), the brain will forget about the pain and instead focus on the warming or cooling sensation.

Sobra is non-greasy, quick-acting, and extremely absorptive. It also has a refreshing orange-citrus scent!

No matter which pain relief cream or gel you choose, we hope that you find the pain relief you’re looking for. As pain relief creams don’t contain harmful active ingredients, you’re welcome to use them as much or as little as you’d like within certain limits.

If one doesn’t work for you, try another! Everyone reacts differently, so what works for others may not work for you and vice versa.
