Interview with Profound Jewelry Company Happy Jewelers

What year did you start your company?

The company was established in 1973 and we opened our store, Happy Jewelers in Fullerton, CA in 2000.

How did you pick the name “Happy Jewelers”?

Jewelry makes people happy, and we want to make people happy. So, while we know Happy Jewelers can sound corny, we love it, and our customers do too. People leave our store feeling happy.

Who are some of the biggest clients you’ve worked with?

Our private clients wish to remain anonymous. Some of our celebrity clients include; Cody Garbrandt, Clayton Kershaw, Chase Young, Jon Pardi, Guliana Rancic, Gabourey Sidibe, Chris Lane, Lauren Lane, among others.

What is your favorite piece of jewelry to sell?

Custom engagement rings. An engagement ring represents one of the happiest moments in a person’s life and we love working with people to design that perfect, “one of a kind” memory.

How do you match a piece of jewelry with a certain customer?

Our core value is customer service and part of that experience is our specialists getting to know the customer on a more personal level. In doing so, we get to know the person by building a relationship and understanding what’s important to them, so we can help them design the perfect piece of jewelry.

What is the most challenging part of being in the jewelry business?

A delay from a supplier. Because we source only the finest gemstones and precious metals, any delay from a supplier could potentially affect delivery to our customer. However, our team does everything in their power to ensure on-time delivery. Very short deadlines are also a challenge. It typically takes us 4-6 weeks to create a custom piece, but we do get a lot of orders where someone needs a custom piece in a week or less. Those can definitely be a challenge, but we get the job done.
