DJ Nicky Rizz opens up about his experience of DJing in the New Normal

The global DJing scene is going through a massive change lately due to the changing conditions. Partying at a club is no more allowed, so DJs are using unconventional means. DJ Nicky Rizz is among the DJs who have not let the current times stop them and have kept up with the game. This young Staten Island native has made and released two new hit singles in the past 12 months. This was aimed to keep his fans and others in need of music satisfied and up in spirits, which he was successful in doing so. He is also a member of the renowned DJ group Heavy Hitters while just being in his late twenties. In a well socially distanced interview, he shares how things in the past year have been. Both for the good or bad.

“It was a different time in every way. I got the chance to play at a party when I was eleven years old. There was a huge crowd, one that would easily scare anyone. Won’t say that I wasn’t anxious at all but the electric response of the crowd made me feel better,” he shares about his earliest days of DJing. Nicky Rizz has spent a major portion of his career performing in from of crowds, live. He is known to make crowds dance in clubs across the US.

The restrictions on public gatherings have stirred up everything but Nicky has his spirits high. He happily tells, “When everything stopped everywhere, I soon realized that it does not mean the end of me and my career. I have performed at places for charitable causes. There is just something I love about making people enjoy music. That is why I decided to make ‘Ay Papi’.” His first hit single was released on July 31st, 2020. It was named ‘Ay Papi’ and became a sensational hit.

“Everyone was hoping that things would get normal in 2021 but it did not happen that way. It was a sign that I have to clear everyone off from the negative vibes and stay happy. ‘Ay Mami’ was my second single that was made for this purpose. I believe it the reason why I playing on the radio in New York also got such an amazing response,” Nicky Rizz shared at the end. He felt that his fans needed something to get them feeling better. It explains why his second song of the Cuban genre, Guaracha was a huge hit. ‘Ay Mami’ was released on February 26th, 2021. Also as a part of the ‘New Normal’, Nicky has made a strong presence on online music streaming outlets such as Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon. Apart from this, he was also heard on the radio in his hometown. Nicky played on Hot 97 #1 for hip-hop, the biggest radio station in New York City. He has no plans to just stop any time soon.
