Interview With BL Lucky

Hi BL Lucky! How are you?

I’m doing great, just staying focused trying to meet deadlines and producing quality work for my fans.

Where are you from?

I’m from Savannah, Georgia. The west side of Savannah. I grew up in a neighborhood there called West Savannah.

What is your greatest inspiration for your music?

Just having fans that can relate to my music, and know my songs word for word when I perform. That’s the motivation to keep me recording.

What are 3 words that describe your music?

Trap, Motivational, and Progressive. I literally want my fans to grow as I grow. I want us to come up together.

What is the hardest subject you’ve ever written about?

I don’t think I’ve experienced that just yet. Everything has been genuinely from my heart and I’ve been producing songs pretty fast. As I grew as an artist I’m pretty sure I’ll have to touch different topics.

What are the challenges of being an artist?

Being heard. This is the era where so many different artists are starting their careers in music, and talent isn’t enough anymore. You have to be creative to market your brand and create a fan base.

Are you planning on releasing new music soon?

Yes, I have two projects I’m working on right now. One is completed, just waiting on the production side to get done. It’s called “El Afortunade”. Still have a few more songs to do for “Drum Major,” but it’s definitely worth the wait.
