The last two releases for US country music artist Rusty Gear, Check in Check Out Blues and It’s Still You, garnered huge praise all round, from media to streaming platforms. The consummate songwriter, musician and performer has now released Out And Runnin Round: a sure-fire rocking blues hit featuring Rusty on vocals and slide guitar and esteemed musicians from the famed Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, Clayton Ivey on keys, Ed Green on drums and David Hood on bass. The track also features the background vocals of Camille Rae from US act Calamity Jane. Produced by Tony Sarno, who also played guitar on the new release, Out And Runnin Round captures all the freewheeling joy and revelry of a devil-may-care night on the town. The new track is a stirring depiction of a carefree, easy-going night, containing all the essence of fun-filled abandon. Rusty’s new track reveals the intersection of society with culture, presenting an environment where music becomes a vital element. As part of the lyric states, We got the fury and the sound its where we can be found

/ we got to take it when we can and listen to the band. Out And Runnin Round is also about living in the moment, transcending the ever-present concerns of life for a singular event—a big night on the town with that quintessential of all American popular music styles, country, front and centre. The new release draws on many of the enticing and alluring elements of country blended with blues and rock—classic instrumentation, an air of optimism and escape.
