Hi guys, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?
Honestly, really good. We are healthy and our families are healthy. Couldn’t ask for more. We are happy that our new song “Bloodstream” is out, and are excited to see how people are reacting to it.
Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Bloodstream”?
Sure, let’s go!
Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?
We wrote the song with two other songwriters, René and Hight. It all started with the word “withdrawals.” We all happened to have experienced love and break ups, especially the withdrawal symptoms, and we thought it be a great idea to put this theme in a dance song. That concept of detoxing from a relationship gives you the energy to get over what may at frst have seemed like an unclimbable mountain.
Any plans to release any sort of video for the track?
Of course! The video is already out and we created and directed it ourselves. In the story of the video we tried to capture 5 personalities and their diferent ways of handling a break up.
How was the recording and writing process?
Usually, we always write and produce simultaneously. This time it all started with the songwriting from scratch. Singing, playing guitar and the keys before jumping into the production. We’ve never wrote a song together in that combination but it felt incredibly familiar.
On our frst take, after fnishing the vocal recording, we realized that we forgot to save the production session and had to rebuild everything only by listening to the bounce. It was quite challenging but ultimately the fnal production came out even better.
What role does Berlin play in your music?
With the large reception your music has gotten in the past – does this put any pressure on you as you work on a new material or rather the opposite?
A big one in terms of role. We love electronic music from our hometown which has so much infuences from house to techno. There’s defnitely no pressure there for us – but rather a dark color we love to paint with in creating our own music.
Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?
We have over 15 songs almost ready and 5 ready to release. So! We wait for the perfect timing to bring them out and hopefully we can show more sides of the twocolors universe.
Any tentative release date or title in mind?

What else is happening next in twocolors’ world?
More remixes for fantastic international artists, more deep/extended versions of our own songs (like the “Lovefool” twocolors remix), and we are working on our live set too.
