Henry Chadwick is back in action this Spring with his new single release “Tomorrow is Today.” The track is taken from his upcoming release out this Spring via Swoon City Music. A Santa Cruz native, Chadwick has been garnering quite a buzz for the past several years. With an impressive amount of fan and press love, he brings a bold sound to the table that is filled with playful lyricism, melodic vocals, vibrant guitars, and a rhythm section that pulls it all together. Henry’s ambition shows no sign of slowing down even in times of our new pandemic world. His accessible sound not only will entice your ears, but will make you wonder where Henry Chadwick has been your whole life. His tongue-in-cheek lyricism draws from personal experiences alongside witty wordplay that ties the song together. It’s Indie-Pop at its best and is filled to the brim with catchy harmonies and hypnotic melodies.
Henry shares of the release:
“I’m sure I’m not the only one who can tend to dwell on past regret as well as stress about the future. I wrote this song as a reminder to try and be present. I started writing it a while ago but was inspired to pick it back up and finish it during this past year of insanity. It felt like something I needed to write and it still makes me happy hearing it back. I hope it makes other people happy too. I programmed the midi drums and played all the other instruments on this one, except the trumpet, which was expertly played by Bart Budwig.“
Henry draws influences as much from music of the past (The Beatles, The Kinks, T-Rex, Nirvana, David Bowie etc.,) as he does from current artists who keep pushing forward stylistically and sonically. Henry makes catchy, thoughtful and usually energetic music with a unique perspective, edge and charm, and is often compared to The Strokes and Mac DeMarco.
Sonically alluring instrumentation floats around Chadwick’s dreamy vocals on a heavenly bed of music that will have you on cloud nine. This is only the beginning of great music to come from Henry Chadwick this year, and our ears are eager and ready! “Tomorrow is Today” is out today via all digital outlets.
