Welcome to VENTS! How have you been?
I‘m good right now but had some fucked days cos of a stalker.
Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Atmosphere”? Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?
Lyrically there was one night that inspired the song. I was at a party and everyone around me was taking it as I came. I was not doing good that evening and I was a bit bored and pissed off by all the superficial talk. Then I wrote it.
How was the filming process and experience behind the video?
We shot it in 3/4 hours. I felt good, jumped in front of the camera and that is what you see.
How was the recording and writing process?
The whole groove came really quick but it took me ages to get a damn hook. I always thought that I had one with the instrumental/Riff part but my producer said that’s no hook so I spent a whole week on these few lines.
And now you’re working with UK label Scruff of the Neck, what’s your relationship with UK music?
I‘ve always been obsessed with British music and I always will be. To work with SOTN feels damn good and hopefully it won‘t take too long to go over and play shows in the UK, that has been a dream of mine since I was 13 years old.
Does the new single mean we can expect new material – how’s that coming along?
Watch out dawg.
Any tentative release date or title in mind?
Watch out dawg.
What else is going to happen next in Shelter Boy’s world?
I‘m gonna eat some spaghetti, finish a new song, smoke a ciggy and go to bed. Tomorrow I get a new haircut. x
