In a world of Covid-19 and the fear of touching others, we have learned the value of contact-free retail experiences. The fear of touching a person and getting Coviid-19 is legit. Some doctors are calling it Coronaphobia or Covidphobia. Therefore, when Postidal CEO, Marvin Amparo Santana announced this week that his start-up will try to open its first cashier-free convenience store by the end of 2021, I thought, “No more lines at my neighborhood bodega.
This step would be a remarkable approach and effort towards stopping the spread of the virus. Cashier free billing would allow the process to be far more efficient and fast. This would in return, make sure that there is no crowd building up behind one person that gives the impression of a public gathering.
Hence, simplifying the process and making it safe for everyone in the area. Besides, it would motivate more people to buy from such stores as they are more efficient in the process and much safer than almost every store they can think of.
Postidal announced that its first robotic bodegas will be in my neighborhood: the Bronx, NYC. I immediately imagined what these futuristic bodegas will look like. One thing I am pleased about is that whenever I enter these bodegas I will not have to wait in line. I will pick up the items I need and leave in peace, like a good and nice New Yorker.
Likewise, people from other areas will also react in the same way when they hear about such an organized system being introduced in their area. So this is not only a win win situation for the people of the area, it is also an amazing way to boost sales for Postidal.
People in my area and even other areas are already excited for the launch of these remarkable projects and can’t wait to visit them and experience this futuristic vision of shopping. But Postidal everyone is confident that postidal will meet the level of expertise and professionalism that they are claiming.
So Postidal, don’t bail on us, people from the Bronx. We are waiting on you with open arms, 6 feet apart!
