Following his well-received EP & short-film This Is FateJust John is back with his new single “City X” – stream here. The new release further establishes his expertise into “liberating” music that blends the beloved elements of hip-hop and punk-infused energy.

City X” is a timely song that reminds individuals to hold onto their power. Just John wants listeners to fight the fight they believe in and not play into misinformation and distractions of the media. The song’s artwork speaks to the definition of the song and the upcoming visuals will depict it even further.

City X” illustrates Just John’s rebellion against the current status quo and modern-day government. It is the militant edge to his persona, who can cause a revolution at any moment. The song draws from the aura of 80’s punk rock while staying true to its hip-hop nature. It is the sound of 2021 with uncertain times encroaching and society on the brink of anarchy.
