Hi Matias A’vone! How are you?
I’m lit. I’m happy.
When/How did you start/get into making music?
I always dabbled with music but getting serious I’d say like 2010. Lil Wayne was a major inspiration for me getting into this industry. I would listen to his songs for hours learning all the words and inflections. Around that time he was on every song it felt like. I eventually started recording myself at home and somehow figured out how to get my songs onto my iPod. It was a wrap from there.
What is your greatest inspiration for your music?
Right now I use my past as my main inspiration and stimulus…It’s been a bit rocky but I use it as a reminder of where all of this can go if I slip…I won’t ever slip.
Any dream collaborations?
Fetty Wap for sure. His music was another driving force that got me here. His melody and energy kept me up and motivated me to keep going. Of course Lil Wayne. Jamie Foxx would be fire too!
What is the hardest subject you’ve ever written about?
I feel like I can tap into almost anything. I feel awkward rapping about money though. That just ain’t me right now, never been a material type dude anyways.
What is the greatest achievement you’ve ever accomplished?
Honestly, getting my first streaming check. It was only like $100 but it was from my music. I was so press, but I knew it was still much more work to put in.
Are you planning on releasing new music soon?
For sure! I got a mixtape “Synthetic Feelings” getting ready to drop. I even want to do like a DMV compilation or something if possible before the year is the over.
What is next for you?
Working with more artists and increasing my personal stock in this industry. Trying to travel more and stay busy. Got some amazing stuff coming this summer.
