PREMIERE: Paul Loren Releases New Music Video For “Keep Keepin’ Me Close”

PAUL LOREN is a singer, songwriter, producer and consummate entertainer. A native New Yorker, Paul was raised on the rich legacy of soul, classic pop, and the Great American Songbook and in those musical idioms he feels most at home. Nothing captures this the best than the video for his latest single “Keep Keepin’ Me Close,” an upbeat and fun song that does a great job entertaining audiences with its melodies as the video takes us back into those somewhat quirky videos mostly done in the early 2010s

About the single, Loren comments “This one came to me very quickly (I had the title first) and seemed to just write itself! It’s definitely a Philly Soul-inspired roller-skating soundtrack. I always want to record the kind of jam that has an easy melody to remember—where the groove doesn’t quit—and lifts you up right from the downbeat.”

In terms of the video, Paul adds “The video is an homage to the birthday parties I used to have (and attend!) as a kid at my local roller rink, HotSkates. I wanted it to have a 90’s theme—filled with bright neons, cardboard-tasting pizza and arcade games. It’s an ode to a simpler time and filled with the kind of close-knit spirit that we can hopefully share once again—both on the rink, and in real life.”
