Following the release of his debut EP ‘Notes 2 Self’ West London talent Shakota makes his return in the joyous form of indie-pop love song ‘Mon Fleur’.

Through a dynamic use of effervescent guitar lines, shimmering synth and a captivating percussion beat, Shakota creates a true summer romance soundscape. Notes of picnics in fields, cycles through a sun drenched city and glasses of wine shared on european balconies rush to the forefront of the listeners mind as his soulful voice guides you on this whirlwind romance.

Speaking to the meaning behind his music he adds  ‘I want people listen to my music and relate it to their own lives’

Taking inspiration from the events of day to day life, Shakota exposes a natural talent for storytelling as he weaves his every waking thought and feeling into relatable and poignant lyrics. His sound is one reflective of his biggest influences including Rex Orange County, Tyler The Creator, Bakar and Cosmo Pyke, allowing his own unique brand of indie pop to shine through in his production.

Brand new to the scene, Shakota is rapidly gaining momentum and a growing following on both social media and streaming services. His unique take on bedroom pop paired with a raw talent for music production and creating captivating melodies have set him on a course for musical stardom.

Mon Fleur’ is a beautifully written and well produced love song for the masses, sure to be filling earphones wide and far. With this being the first offering of the year from Shakota a lot is to be expected further down the road.
