We are so excited to present you with Dizmation and the release for his new full-length album, “Sea Area Forecast”. The opening track, “One More Time With Feeling,” is a melancholy, indie-rock jam that features musician and producer Joey Doyle to showcase his punk-esque writing style. Think of something like Tame Impala, but we feel it has a more punk presence than most other bands that have tried to go this direction.
The track “Portal,” featuring Aniela was a nice change with the feature of vocalist Aniela. I really enjoyed this track in particular. The synths and 80’s vibe really gave it a celebration of style. Other tunes are certain to hypnotize listeners, like the dizzying “Halcyon Then Gone” which simply features a man and his piano singing somewhere. The swiftness of Dizmation’s chops on the ivories is what’s remarkable about this tune, regardless if anything was synced or not, and spin in place to remarkable effect.
He’s also a songwriter with a penchant for inducing feelings of poignancy in his lyrics. The man also just so happens to sing with a purity or sweetness in his voice that’s not easily duplicated. A man with this amount of talent and creativity doesn’t just need a few songs to be listened, the only album needs to be listened to as a whole to really grasp it all.
We’ve presented you with a small taste of the album and we’d like to get your opinion on the rest of it. We are taking a new approach where we want to review an album but we want to leave you with some interpretation of it as well.
Tell us what you think of “Sea Area Forecast” by Dizmation and we’ll get the world talking about it. The only way we all come together but also show our appreciation of music is by sharing it with each other and communicating with our hearts and minds on it.
