Hoodz9 is originally from Africa but moved to Toronto, Canada as a teenager. He has recently forced his way into the spotlight with hit after hit all last year.
While most artists have been struggling to adjust to the new global situation Hoodz9 had a big name collaboration with Tory Lanez. The music video for “Adore” featuring Tory Lanez and produced by Ramsey Beats was released on WorldStarHipHop early 2020.
The success of the Tory Lanez video took Hoodz9 to the next level pushing his music to the reach of fans worldwide. The video was covered by Complex and was posted on Instagram by Dj Akademiks.
Hoodz9 originally made his name in the local Canadian scene with collaborations with artists Why-G, Yung Tory and the recently murdered Houdini. After building a local buzz Hoodz9 and Natra released two different music videos on LinkUpTv that continued to build a more global audience.
By connecting with big UK and US outlets with millions of subscribers Hoodz9 has been able to take his local talent to a global level. With global touring currently still shut down artists must use digital outlets to continue to push their music.
