A Friendly Guide to Fetish- For People Who Don’t Have Fetishes

Have you ever wondered what fetishes actually are? Or maybe you’re convinced you never had any at all. That fetishizes are just something that happens to other people. Don’t sweat my friend, because I would have to confess to the same guilt. And I’d be willing to bet my pair of fuzzy, novelty handcuffs that I’m not alone. As I’m sure nearly everyone has experienced the same doubts at some point.

The thing is- there is an enormous variety of fetishes. Like, huge. To the point where, chances are- if you’re getting a little moist just reading the word fetish, you absolutely have the bug. Among these, are “normal” fetishes- like creampie porn, MILF, or the most popular- just plain old pornography. Yes, porn is considered a fetish. Luckily, and largely thanks to the internet, this particular fetish has come a long way from the basement made, sideburn bursting, VHS exchange of the 1970s. Allowing us to explore a whole world of kinks and thrills. We have access to secure sites that we can visit and explore our fantasies. Thanks to websites like Porndoe we can probe and scrutinize; for free, at home, and in private.

“What most people don’t seem to understand, is that if you’re having sex for any other reason that procreation and genital penetration, it’s considered a fetish.” Say the guru’s at Porndoe, and these guys definitely know fetish. “In fact, by definition, a fetish is just any object or non-genital part of the body that turns someone on.” Wow, I apparently have a lot to answer for.

So, What’s the Deal with Fetishes?

But let’s start from the beginning, what is a fetish? Even though today it is still popularly defined as a “sexual deviation or paraphilia”, in reality, a fetish is simply something that stimulates us sexually, a sexual desire. Is there anything wrong with fetishes? No, because of so many taboos around sexuality, even today, people who fully enjoy their sexuality without complexes, prejudices, or fears, can be categorized as rare. Or perhaps even taboo themselves.

But nothing could be further from the truth. As long as, sex is consensual, enjoyed by everyone involved and doesn’t cause harm, there is nothing wrong with it. Even if it might seem strange, or uncomfortable. So, the next time you see an old dude fingering up a pretty pair of toes- turn the other cheek or dive right in. Because “weird” it may be, wrong it isn’t.

Some fetishes may surprise us more than others, as in you may never even have heard of them. Or for a second believed that a cartoon space alien who is using his generous endowment to… uh, help out a tiny princess in peril, could even be sexy. But after looking at some hentai, you discover that- hey – maybe there’s something to it. Since there is no better time than the present, let’s find out which fetishes exist, and maybe you’ll find something a little funny, maybe peculiar or, best case- attractive. Take my hand, and let’s go explore some weird-ass fetishes together.

Popular, But Niche

High Heel Fetish

Categorized as a penchant for seeing or wearing high-heeled shoes. And that’s because, there is nothing better than a pair of nice heels to increase your heart rate. I mean, com’on. Heels and stockings? What’s not to love?

Partialism

Interest in a specific part of the body other than the genitals. As far as porn is concerned, this is podophilia. Calm down, re-read. It means “foot fetish”. But there are also others like maschalagnia (the armpits), nasophilia (the nose) or trichophilia (obsession for the hair). And none of this is even a little weird.

Salirophilia

I like it dirty. Admit it, you probably do a bit too.  If you’re one of those who likes the idea of getting dirty or dirtying up your partner during sex, this is yours. It can span from merely dishevelling your companion, to tearing of their clothes and smearing mud on their face. Or even that creampie porn moment. Passion here, is assured.

Hentai

Japanese pornography, it can be comic book (manga) or animation (animé), but it is definitely one of the most popular niche genres. A curious fact, hentai was created in Japan in order to circumvent some pretty hardcore censorship laws. Allowing hentai creators to show “sex” without getting banned from the public eye.

Spectrophilia

Sexual excitement derived from mirrors. A format where participants enjoying both masturbation and sex in front of a mirror.  Maybe you just understood why there’s all those massive mirrors above the beds in Vegas? Just don’t say “Bloody Mary”.

Furry

Excitement that some people feel towards others who project qualities and characteristics of animals. Like an attraction to a large, hairy man because of the similarities he shares with a bear. Some of these people, called furries, enjoy having sex while being dressed up as animals. This fetish has a great advantage compared to creampie porn, because there is way less cleanup. Bonus: The washing machine you use to get your furry suit in fighting condition, can also be a masturbatory aid (Mechanophilia).
