Following the release of his debut track “Dead To Me”, singer-songwriter Andy Keels continues to usher in his upcoming EP with sophomore single “Get Up Stand Up”.
Filled with rolling drum patterns and infectious guitar melodies, “Get Up Stand Up” is an energetic slice of indie-rock from the Surrey born artist. With a constant desire and energy to create, Andy headed to the prolific Germano Studios in New York with Grammy nominated engineer and producer Dave Rowland (The Killers, Kanye West, Justin Bieber, John Legend) to refine his prolific back catalogue of sounds.
Channeling this artistic output, “Get Up Stand Up” is further indication of Andy’s creative flair. Taking creative inspiration from The Rolling Stones, “the track is about trying to escape a relationship”, he explains. “The overall intention of the song is about taking action – it’s time to change your life if you’re unhappy”.
Building an accomplished reputation for himself within the industry, Keels first made his mark on the music scene as the drummer, singer, and songwriter in pop/rock band, Twen2y4se7en. Over the years, he has also amassed an array of live experience, touring the UK with the likes of Westlife, McFly, Blue, and Sugababes.
