The Most Unusual Casino Bonuses Online

The tradition of casino bonus provision was introduced as a way to market the web platform and knock out competition by allowing punters to play games like slots with bonus rounds with free money from the establishment. As time went by and web casinos became popular, the inclusion of incentives became part of casino culture. Common forms of these boons were formulated, such as welcome bonuses, reload offers, and cashbacks. However, some gambling destinations have taken a weird route to catch the attention of clients, and here are some of strangest ones ever tabled:

Space Trip

The provision of exclusive trips by gaming site is nothing new, especially in the case of high rollers. However, InterCasino decided to shoot for the stars in literal form back in 2010 when they offered players the chance to play and win a trip to space. The space trip incentive was promoted through hilarious advertisements of people launching into space, which got a lot of people to register in the competition.

The idea was to collect as many comp points as possible by playing using real money. Whoever had the highest number of points by March 30th of the same year would win the trip along with a jackpot of fifty thousand dollars. The money prize was collected by a gambler who had accumulated more than 242 000 points. However, nine years after the reward was granted, there is still no information on when the space trip is happening, which leads many to believe it is not going to take place.

Gamble for Mike Tyson’s House

Back in 2004, an English billionaire purchased Mike Tyson’s home located in Las Vegas for four million dollars. Even with the hefty price attached to it, the tycoon did not plan to live in the mansion and decided to have a little fun with it. A reality TV poker tournament was promoted where more than one hundred players were invited to battle it out for the final prize, which was the luxurious property.

Most of the tournament games would happen elsewhere, and then the last two would be taken to Tyson’s home to play the final round. Mike Tyson was to gamble it out at the table as well for a chance to win back his house. There have been no mentions of the tournament ever since the promotions ran or whether it ever took place.

Points for Sex

The collection of comp points in gambling establishments that help earn punters extra rewards is not a new concept in the casino realm. In most cases, punters are gifted with free spins, money, chips, and even gadgets in exchange for attaining them. However, Swank Poker Casino crossed a queer line when they offered to reward their clients with adult services such as sex for gaining points. The bonuses depended on how many points one redeemed, and the tier system worked as follows:

  Number of Points     Granted Bonus
4000 points    A free supply of condoms for one year
4500 points    One thousand free minutes of premium porn
15 000 points    Gift vouchers worth 300 dollars for use in adult stores
75 000 points    One night in the Babylon Sex Club located in Vienna, Austria
80 000 points    VIP membership of one year at the Green Door Sex Club in Las Vegas
100 000 points    Film and direct a hardcore scene with a Swank girl of your choice

A lot of marketing was pumped into this promotion, but unfortunately, it did not get a lot of attention. The gaming site ended up going out of business in the long run.

Win a BMW Daily

The Star Partner Casino Group holds a record for not only an unusual offer but also one of the worst with this promotion. The company is responsible for running Gold Riviera, Maple, and Crazy Vegas casinos, all of which ran advertisements of how punters could win a BMW with easy to meet terms. However, there was a lot of dishonesty in the promo with a lot of vague print in the collection of the reward. The winning players ended up receiving toy cars instead of the luxurious vehicles promised, and with no chance of refunds.

In Brief

Some of these unusual bonuses have done a lot to market the gaming sites behind them such as that of InterCasino. However, that of the Star Partner Casino Groups scarred the operator’s reputation, and it is yet to recover from the blow to date.
