THE LOCKDOWN THREE were “born & brewed” in Glasgow, Scotland. Twin brothers Steve and Al Reilly and friend Johnny Malice are long time friends who, on many a night, while drinking many a bourbon, aspired to change up their tried-and-true rock offerings with some country flavor. As the global pandemic prevented them from touring in their other bands, they followed through on their notion, delivering melodic, southern-tinged modern rock single “This Is Our Day”, which releases digitally on Mesa Bluemoon Recordings on December 4, 2020.
Writing songs about good times with friends, family and drink in bonnie Scotland, spiked with an infusion of their Celtic roots, The Lockdown Three’s music cites influences including Blackberry Smoke, The Cadillac Three, Lifehouse, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Luke Combs, Jacob Bryant, Garth Brooks, abd Chris Stapleton.
The Lockdown Three has a great pedigree: the brothers have been in bands together all their lives, most recently melodic rock band Logan, who opened for Bon Jovi, Hinder, Alter Bridge, Thin Lizzy and Thunder, to name a few. Logan’s album the ‘The Great Unknown’ was recorded with the late legendary producer Keith Olsen, also released by Mesa Bluemoon. Singer Johnny Malice has performed with metal bands Uproar and Titan Breed, notching up festival appearances at Bloodstock in the UK, and opening dates for Ross the Boss (Manowar) Mark Morton (Lamb of God).
