CHARLOTTE JANE SHARES THE OFFICIAL VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE ‘GET IT RIGHT’

Charlotte Jane’s debut EP ‘Nowhere To Hide’ established her as one of the UK’s brightest new voices. Quietly amassing millions of streams, it set her on the path to sell-out headline shows in London and hometown Hull, performing at Reading and Leeds and with the likes of Jess GlynneDennis LloydTom Odell and Lewis Capaldi, who believes Charlotte Jane is shaping up to be “one of the biggest fucking things in the world.” Her brand new single ‘Get It Right’ lived up to such high praise when it was released last week featuring on Spotify’s New Music Friday, Apple’s New in Pop in 19 Countries and Deezer’s Sofa Pop. Today, she shares the track’s official video. Watch HERE.

Directed by Manchester based short-film director Charlie Watts (‘Under’, ‘King Arthur’, Blossoms ‘Back To Stockport’), it was filmed around Manchester including the world famous Salford Lad’s Club (The Smiths “The Queen Is Dead”). The video perfectly depicts the sentiment of the song – looking back and learning from one’s mistakes. Charlotte is seen in multiple locations seeing reflections of herself, but as the video progresses her reflections start acting different to the Charlotte we see in the real world.

Charlotte Jane explains, “The video was shot up North which was important to me. The concept was all about showing a detachment from who we are now and who we were. I think it’s a really beautiful way of showing how we can look back, learn from past mistakes and move forwards. It’s about that lightbulb moment when you realise your own self-worth and stop letting people string you along. It sounds sad but it’s actually empowering”.
