Hailing from Woolwich, Southeast London, (UK) Street Sinatra is definitely well versed in the journey of the underdog. Ushering in an all new sound and vibe, he works tirelessly, with 6 projects under his belt this year alone with no signs of letting up!
With an ear for music he meshes classic cadences, phenomenal flows, emotional provoking beats with smooth and swift flow changes to convey his perspective of trials and tribulations for the young black man growing up in the UK. With a hands on approach; he produces, mixes & and masters his own projects, displaying his evident range as an artist. His unwavering determination not to cut corners makes him an all new beast on the scene… the new Sinatra, master of his trade.
“Saved By The Yay” is the first track from his latest project, “Phenom”.
He says being his 7th project this year, this is also his 7th attempt at garnering much needed attention and creating a buzz for his craft. Being the secretive person he is, with this project he wanted to give people a chance to gain more insight to the inner workings of his life, all the way from the bleak to the triumph. This may be his 7th project, however this is the first instalment of a whole new perspective.
“Being able to look at the glass half full is what lead to this”, says Street Sinatra.
“Saved By The Yay” for me is a literal depiction of the life of a narco to a shallow extent and the reasons why one would, evenagainst all odds, live a life of trafficking. It’s also a two-sided coin because me being a young black man from inner city London, there’s a heap of men in my position. That being said, I’d prefer the psychology of our actions to be explored rather than shunned and frowned upon.
In order to find a solution through answers, one has to comprehend the knowledge behind the question.”
