Czech minimalist piano composer Borrtex presents his new solo record titled Harmony, featuring twelve piano compositions varying in speed, intensity, performance and style. Despite their differences, these songs create an amazing complex form, resonating as a palette of beautiful harmonious balance. Quick and striking keys including repetitive patterns and pulses typical for the minimalist approach, are later replaced by softer and calmer themes, which cluminate in acoustically tuned piano solo ballads in the second half of the album.
Borrtex was born in Havirov, Czech Republic. Since the age of six, he started attending piano classes on a regular basis. He studied on a Music school of Leos Janacek for seven years. In 2017 Borrtex started publishing his own work as an independent artist. A trip to Los Angeles later that year solidified Borrtex’s commitment to instrumental composition, after a meeting with famed film composer James Newton Howard. An additional interview with noted composer Danny Elfman and one of the most famous film composers worldwide, Hans Zimmer, helped further enhance Borrtex’s desire to follow in their footsteps.
Harmony will be available on all music streaming platforms on December 20, 2020. These powerful and strongly characteristic musical ideas of this young aspiring artist, introduce a whole new perspective on the present neoclassical culture.
