Following on from the huge success of his previously shared single ‘Come Online’, which was premiered in Wonderland before being featured in Rolling Stone magazine, and subsequent single ‘There’s nothing of you anymore, Italian DJ and producer SPLENDORE has now returned to release his highly-anticipated new EP ‘OMG, am I really feeling these feelings I’m feeling right now?’
The new self-produced collection is being accompanied by a series of new offerings, including a new video for his recent single ‘ci amavamo, what happened?’, directed by Giada Bossi who has worked with some of the most relevant Italian artists such as MYSS KETA, Mecna, Joan Thiele. As well as a collaborative digital art project with fellow artist Thany, who has previously been covered by the likes of I-D, Coeval, Feltzine, Visioni_parallele, ONEG magazine.
Speaking about the new video, director Bossi said, “throughout all my life, summer sucked. this is about summer love and all the stories that end out of the blue, leaving you nothing but disoriented.
I started developing this project during lockdown in Avril with my ig story archive, but this summer sucked too, so actually I kept working on it all summer long. thanks to @ciaosplendore for trusting me and to @personamilano supporting me with lovely people that gave their faces for this project. Thanks to all the friends and unknowns I stole some shots from. summer sucks. Cheers.”
While SPLENDORE added, “Life is a summer love. It doesn’t last forever but we act like we don’t care. The bittersweet memory and the harsh reality. This song, as this record, is about that adolescent idealization. Coping with depression, loss, anxiety. That’s the reason why this track has this peculiar sound narrative as we’re moving from the ideal past to the complexity of adulthood.”
‘OMG, am I really feeling these feelings I’m feeling right now?’ EP Tracklist:

The EP also comes with a series of crazy and weird artworks realized by a super fresh young queer digital artist called Thanyy. We have imagined a super weird post-human character seeking for his own identity. It’s a turbulent queer journey inside the self-knowledge. Coming along with the music, this digital art project talks about a post-human, post-genre, post-race future where you can be whatever you are and you want to be.
‘OMG, am I really feeling these feelings I’m feeling right now?’ is the first EP by SPLENDORE, via the Italian label and collective Ivreatronic. It is big data coming from a hijacked smartphone. It’s a cloud with a lifetime memory. If it is possible for the present to cause an outcome in the past, are those memories still real? English language mix with Italian and Spanish build a new grammar for a nowhere country. Hyperpop, IDM, experimental are its own architectures. Does a reality exist in this new unknown place? And are we really feeling these feelings I’m feeling right now? Oh My God, I don’t know.
SPLENDORE is an Italian queer artist, DJ and producer from Ivreatronic label and collective. SPLENDORE is inspired by extreme electronic pop music such as PC Music and accelerationist theory. SPLENDORE’s tracks sound like digital maximalist and big data from your hijacked smartphones, ops! The English, Italian and Spanish lyrics sound like a call center outsourcing service, ¿me entiendes? The first releases of SPLENDORE hit more than 300k plays on Spotify.
He spins very hyper-percussive tracks with different tempos on his dj set. He likes researching new music from all around the world to make crazy-pazzi sets where you could dance to futuristic electronic Russian and Chinese music next to his elastic bubble plastic pop tracks. He has a podcast called Splendore Ambientale about ambient music. He supports LGBTQIA+ community and music scene as an active member.
