Interview With Canadian Hip Hop Artist JT5K

Hi JT5K, How are you?

I’m good, just focusing on the music. I’m working on producing all my tracks after this.

Where are you from?

I’m from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I think it’s the untapped music scene in North America, a bunch of crazy artists.

How did you get into music?

I got into music because my sister was always singing around the house and eventually her debut single charted on iTunes Japan back in 2014. She always made sure I was up on all the top 2000’s artists, and who was the hottest out! She inspired me to actually keep going because anything is possible.

What is the most challenging thing you have overcome in your life?

I feel like throughout life everyone has there own challenges in life, and I’ve been through a lot that I couldn’t even pick one. I’ll just say being able to keep your head up. Theres a lot of time where situations happen and you can feel defeated, but you gotta keep your head up.

Are you planning on releasing new music soon?

Yea I’m planning on dropping soon. I’m working on staying solo for songs and making the beats. I feel like if I do this I’ll be unstoppable.
