SOLIDARITY TAPES – VOL 1: END THE HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT FEATURING TRACKS BY BIG JOANIE, PVA, GLOWS, GOAT GIRL, DAN CAREY AND MORE

Newly created DIY cultural project Solidarity Tapes will release their first compilation Vol 1: End The Hostile Environment on the 6th of November. Strategically landing in line with bandcamp’s fee-waiving COVID initiative, the compilation aims to raise funds for grassroots organisations working for migrant, racial, social and climate justice.

Vol 1: End The Hostile Environment will be available physically via cassette, accompanied by an illustrated zine by artists Toby (@tobyevansjesra) & Aidan Evans-Jesra (@the_snailmxn), which will provide information on the musicians and the grassroots organisations the project are raising funds for, as well as art and essays on the themes of migration, borders, activism and solidarity.

Featuring a mixture of established bands, up and coming acts and undiscovered talent, it’s a diverse and intriguing listen for a very worthy cause.
We have curated an eclectic mix of musicians that is not limited to a specific genre, we hope there is something here for everyone with jazz, post-punk, experimental hip-hop, dream pop, post-hardcore, math-rock, ethereal electronics, art-rock  and South American folk!”
