On November 1st, 2019, Earl Sweatshirt shared the 9-track EP, which features Liv.e, Mavi and Mach-Hommy, prophetically stating that the project “is a collection of observations and feelings recorded during the death throes of a crumbling empire.” He then shared the deluxe version over the summer with additional guest appearances from Maxo and Navy, and production by Alchemist and Black Noi$e. Just one year later, the conceptual proof behind Earl’s captivating body of work emerges in the face of a pandemic and a political uprising.
