INTERVIEW: Vior

Hi Vior, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

Hey guys I’ve been very busy with my work but overall all is well.

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Stevie Wonder”?

Yes, Stevie Wonder is off my latest EP Presidential. I like talking about getting back from a bad situation or a loss and making it a good one or a win. I’m motivated by the hunger and where I came from to where I stand today.

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

Not in particular just the risks you have to take to be something big and some of the sacrifices you have to make along the way.

How was the filming process and experience behind the video?

It was a risk we took during covid a few of my friends and I went to Vegas for his birthday and we decided to shoot the video out there. I felt like everything was genuine and smooth. It was a good time.

The single comes off your new album Presidential – what’s the story behind the title?

So, I made the Presidential EP to talk about some of the problems going on today with racism, corruption, and the people we lost. The hope for a better world.

How was the recording and writing process?

Everything was from the heart, so everything flowed pretty smoothly. I felt all good vibes in the room when I recorded Presidential. I felt like I did this for all cultures and to give us hope.

What role does Coatesville play in your music?

Coatesville has a lot of talent and we all are hungry whether its sports or music. We all are in competition with each other not in a bad way but making each other better.

What aspect of politics did you get to explore on this record?

I feel that it is very true that the justice system here in the US is rigged and it’s time for a change.

Where did you find the inspiration for the songs and lyrics?

I found the inspiration after all the injustice that was going on and all of the lives that were lost.

What else is happening next in Vior’s world?

Staying busy I plan to really flood my audience with music as the year begins. I have an upcoming project with Chef Pasquale (Pnb Rock Producer) where I’m back with more melodic vibes. Stay tuned.
