Interview With Up and Coming Lo-Fi Artist Ernesto Gaita

What does a day inside your shoes look like?

Well, I wear boots lol Brown leather specifically. Size 10.5. A day inside my shoes looks like getting up around 8, kiss my girl, get ready for the day. Virtual team meeting usually at 9 for my marketing biz, then I focus on clients and networking the rest of the day. By about 8pm my biz day is done and I try and head to the studio as much as I can and start mixing.

What is your greatest achievement as a musician?

The greatest achievement in my journey to being a musician is honestly just making it off the street. Personally,I feel like that’s a huge achievement alone. I know many artists know what it’s like to make it off the streets, but everyone’s situation is unique and mine gives me strength. It may not seem like much to many but I’ve met so many talented artists give up or get into other things like drugs and end up in jail and lose the chance to even try. Not going to lie that drives me to being the way I am, seeing that makes me work harder each and every day.

What’s your plan for your next album/project that you want to release?

My up-coming 10 hour lo-fi mix is called Mindfulness On Repeat. The mix was inspired from a chill session. I had with 10 of my friends out of this crazy mansion in West Vancouver and we were all laying on the ground talking, sharing, exploring, and I realized it’s moments like this that change people. I wanted to be apart of that and create something that will help anyone be elevated yet calmed to a place to find clarity.
