Interview With Rising Hip Hop Artist Lorenzo Rosario

When/How did you start/get into making music?

I started to make music when I was about 10 years old. I started off having freestyle battles with my older brothers and their friends around the neighborhood and have never looked back since. Something that pushed me to develop when I was younger is the facts that my older brothers were 5 and 6 years older than me respectively. I picked up on their word play and they way they flowed their rhymes while putting my own unique style on it.

What is the greatest achievement you’ve ever accomplished?

My biggest accomplishment in life has hands down been raising three children while chasing my dream at the same time. They have been growing up at the same time as I have as well/ It’s been a huge learning experience and I’m still learning every day. It has been tough balancing both my personal life and my career, but I know that it will all be worth it. All three of them helped mold me into the person I am today and for that I continue to grind so I can provide them with the life that they deserve to live. At this time only one of my children understands that I’m a music artist, but as time goes on and they get older it will become more clear.

What is your greatest inspiration for your music?

The greatest inspiration for my music comes from my life experiences. Throughout my whole life there have been things that have impacted me deeply. At moments I have had to hold the pain back, but that is something that music helps me cope with. Everything that I have encountered growing up, struggles, my mother, brothers, or anyone close to me may have dealt with I’ve expressed through my music. All in all “pain” is my greatest inspiration.
