Crimson Calamity Release New Single “Ghost” Ft. Zane Carney

Crimson Calamity debut their hauntingly heartbreaking new single, “Ghost” due out on October 23, 2020. Comprised of Mallory Trunnell and Lauren Harding, Crimson Calamity is a powerhouse duo that pours their talent into a fusion of Country, Folk, Rock, and Americana. Their first two EP’s, “All in the Cards” and “Gypsy Heart” encapsulate everything fans of folk songwriting, dynamic alternative country, and sincere storytelling love. Critics and fans have been singing their praises since the release of their first single, with For The Country Record saying, “Be prepared for this duo to shake the foundations of the alternative country scene.” On their newest single, “Ghost,” the duo highlights the incredible female talents in the Nashville music scene by working with bad-ass producer Gena Johnson, engineer Rachael Moore, and Kim Rosen at Knack Mastering. Between the fiery energy of female talents and the incredible songwriting — “Ghost” is a masterpiece you won’t want to miss.

Crimson Calamity sink into unimaginable turmoil on their new single, “Ghost.” Awash in the drama of electric guitar (provided by Zane Carney) and filled with dramatic moments of intense melodic instrumentation, the track itself is often stripped bare, making way for the tender turn of the duo’s vocals. As they lament the ghost of a relationship that never lived up to its expectations, they breathe life into a dead memory before finally shutting the door. The pristine production is amplified by the combined talents of Nashville heavy-hitters Chris Powell and Brian Allen (Brandi Carlile, a Star is Born), whose expert playing provides a layer of depth to the heartache within the story itself.
