Fortnite Leaks You Ought to Know About

October is in full gear, and you know what that means! That’s right, Halloween is almost upon us! Halloween, in our humble opinion, is one of the best times of the year. Because who doesn’t love adorning their yards with colorful pumpkins and dressing up as their favorite character? While trick or treating may not be the same in 2020 because of Covid-19, there are still a number of ways to commemorate this fantastic event. For instance, Epic Games has been setting up some plans for the month to make the ambiance of Fortnite spookier. Apparently, they have a lot going on their plate to make the Halloween event as grandiose as possible.

So, what can we expect going into the coming days? Besides a few Halloween-themed skins that you can purchase from the Fortnite item shop, there are some leaks suggesting that there’s an old game mode that’s about to make a return in Fortnite. If you’re interested to know what updates are going to come to Fortnite for October, we’ve got you covered!

This is Halloween! This is Halloween!

Chapter 2 Season 4 Fortnite has been one of the best seasons that we’ve had so far. Besides going in with the Marvel-theme, there’s been a slew of content that’s released almost every week. It looks like Epic Games isn’t planning on slowing down any time soon as well, as there have been leaks surfacing that Fortnitemares is coming. If you’re not familiar with what Fortnitemares is, it’s basically Epic’s own Halloween event for their game. There’s no official date for this spooky event yet, but since October is technically a month of trick or treating, we can assume that it’ll be up a week before Halloween. There’s ample time to get into the event as well since it should run all the way until the first week of November. We can expect some new and old Halloween skins to pop up in the Fortnite item shop. These will only be available for a limited time though so grab the skins that you want before they’re vaulted once again.

Midas Makes a Return

Fortnite has a lot of colorful characters that sometimes grace us with their presence in some way or form. Whether it’s through their own pad within the map for a short period of time or a skin, Epic sure knows how to catch their players’ attention. This season is no slouch either, as besides the whole shebang that we got during the first weeks when the new season launched, Midas is possibly making a return to Fortnite for Fortnitemares 2020. While Midas isn’t going to be skin that’ll be available for purchase, you have the chance of going toe-to-toe with him during the event as he’s expected to return as an in-game boss. There are no photos of the leaks yet, but Midas is basically Epic’s own version of Joker. Dressed in a purple suit with emerald green hair, this character is a favorite and well-loved by the players. According to the leaks, he’ll have 350 worth of shields and 100HP, making him relatively easy to take out. There’s no word yet on what his Fortnite weapon of choice will be though, but there are rumors that he’ll have a gold scar.

Goodbye Rocket Launcher, Hello Jack-O-Launcher

If you’ve been playing Fortnite for a while now, then you’ve probably heard or even used a Rocket Launcher. This Fortnite weapon packs quite a wallop of a punch and can easily obliterate structures with a single click. But who needs a Rocket Launcher when you can have something much cooler instead? The Jack-O-Launcher or Pumpkin Launcher is about to make a comeback in Halloween in time for Fortnitemares 2020! The Pumpkin Launcher features the same ins and outs of a normal Rocket Launcher minus the looks. Fitted with a pumpkin at the front, you can use this vegetable to wipe out teams on the upper terrains and hard-to-reach places where it’s difficult to gun them down. The Legendary-grade Jack-O-Launcher doesn’t consume ammo, but it has low durability, so don’t use it excessively!

And those are what you can expect to pop up in the upcoming weeks of October! So far, there’s only been a few leaks about the updates that Epic is planning for the month, but we’ll no doubt see some Halloween-inspired skins in the Fortnite item shop pretty soon.
