CNCO announce their eagerly awaited third studio album, set for release next month. For the upcoming project, the group decided to flip the script and reimagine classics from the past few decades that inspired them in different ways. Not only did the five vocalists breathe new life into these songs, but they also evoked a bit of nostalgia at the same time.
On the concept behind the new album, CNCO stated, “At the beginning of quarantine, we took some time off after being on the road for the past few years. We were all able to reconnect with our families and have time to think back on all we’ve accomplished, and what kind of music inspired us to get here. There was a collection of songs that immediately came to mind, these romantic ballads that we all love to sing along to. While we take some time to work on our own original songs, we decided to have some fun and bring back some of the classic songs from the past, with a CNCO twist.”
In August, CNCO took the VMA mainstage for the first time with a showstopping performance of their current single “Beso.” Click HERE to watch! As one of only two Latin acts of the night, the boys showed off their signature smooth choreography and high energy stage presence while performing in front of a live audience of fans at a special drive-in location, sponsored by Toyota.Additionally, CNCO closed out the iconic night by taking home their first VMA for “Best Quarantine Performance,” an exciting win in a general market category, beating out heavy weights including Lady Gaga, Post Malone and John Legend.
