PREMIERE: Zanya Release New Single “Wake Up!”

“Wake Up” is the newest single from Los Angeles based ZANYA. The message is clear, but the sound the band creates feels less protest, more 80s dance party. The bass line drives Zanya’s infectious vocals, pushing them to create sense of warning. The lyrics are straight forward, there are no riddles or analogies the listener must decipher, so the point is driven home. When asked about the thought behind the lyrics ZANYA had this to say:

“If you don’t educate yourself on the inequities and injustices in this country, you better WAKE UP because the world is changing and you’re going to be left behind.”
