SEVENTEEN is releasing their new lead single “HOME;RUN” on October 19.
PLEDIS, the act’s label, unveiled the special album ; [Semicolon]’s tracklist of which lead single is “HOME;RUN” via SEVENTEEN’s official social media channels.
A poster uploaded on social media included six game chips and phrases that raised questions about the hidden message behind it. Curiosity about the upcoming special album then heightened when a black-and-white poster revealing the entire tracklist of six songs was subsequently released.
The very first song on the list is the lead single “HOME;RUN,” a swing-genre based song combined with retro, rhythmic and cheerful sounds. WOOZI participated in both composing and writing the song, while VERNON and SEUNGKWAN also joined in writing lyrics of it. Their active participation gives a stronger sense of empathy and realistic aspects of youth.
Apart from “HOME;RUN” and “All My Love,” the record includes various unit group songs: “Do Re Mi” (SEUNGKWAN, VERNON, DINO), “HEY BUDDY” (THE 8, MINGYU, DK), “Light a Flame” (JUN, HOSHI, WONWOO, WOOZI), and “AH! LOVE” (S.COUPS, JEONGHAN, JOSHUA).
; [Semicolon] sees the SEVENTEEN members’ active participation in the creative process of the inspiring and comforting record that bears a positive message to the young generation: “Take a break and live in the youth!”.
From movie-like trailers to official photos, SEVENTEEN is at the center of attention as the group revealed various teaser contents for ; [Semicolon], and also showed remarkable progress of becoming a million-seller band with their seventh mini-album Heng:garæ, with sale records of over 1 million copies in June. In January, the act also toured eight cities across the globe through its world tour ‘ODE TO YOU,’ and met with audiences from 121 regions through its online fan meeting ‘SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND’ in August.
; [Semicolon], the highly anticipated new album of SEVENTEEN, will be released worldwide at 6 PM KST (5AM EDT) on October 19, and the online global press conference is to be held a couple of hours prior to the release.
