If you’re reading the Pacific business news, you most likely are acquainted with Nan Inc. This Honolulu-based construction company has a long track record of involvement in both charitable activities and local development. We all admire giving to the local community, still, but Nan Inc has done this consistently every year.
Since this is a reputable company with several years of experience, it was more than expected that this construction company from Oahu was going to take part in the next most impressive development project. At the beginning of 2020, Nan Inc was awarded a $103 million contract in partnership with Caddell Construction, a company from Alabama. This project is meant to lead to the construction of a multi-story barracks building complex at the Marine Corps Base in Guam.
And there is more! Besides the BEQ tower, the contract underlines the need to design and construct a community core building. This additional building is meant to have multi-purpose rooms, offices, kitchen areas, and laundry room facilities. Also, an additional and separate utility building will be raised to house emergency generators and equipment, so that everything will happen smoothly in the facility.
It is believed that this project will be finished in around three years. And we can say this is the second largest Guam contract offered by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific to the Caddell-Nan partnership. Also this year, Nan Inc was awarded a $204 million military contract to construct two bachelors enlisted quarters at the Marine Corps Base in Guam.
Back in February, Nan Inc. released an official statement indicating they are proud to be part of this construction project. Due to the Coronavirus global pandemic, this company is proudly getting involved in infrastructure projects that aid the nation and offer access to additional jobs. The local community is more than grateful for such initiatives since the COVID-19 issue led to a significant loss of employment and money-issues for most households in the country.
Both Nan Inc and Caddell aim to do their best to meet the deadline and exceed those construction projects’ expectations. We’re more than thankful that a local construction company is part of such an important undertaking. And considering Nan Inc’s commitment to supporting the local community, we are confident that this will be a success.
