Spearheading the release of their debut album ‘Deep & Rolling Green’, I SEE RIVERS, release their single ‘Grow & Go’ this October 2nd.

‘Grow and Go’ was written four years ago whilst the band were living in Liverpool and studying at Sir Paul McCartney’s music institute LIPA. Although not finished at the time, it wasn’t until the band were based in the idyllic welsh countryside that they were inspired and so the seemingly aptly titled track ‘Grow and Go’ was formed.

Speaking on the track, I SEE RIVERS explain; “The song is about waking up in a relationship that’s gone stagnant without realising how you got there, standing on the edge of letting it go. It’s about understanding that everything in life has an expiry date, and that there’s beauty in that as it offers opportunities to grow and evolve amidst the sadness, grief and loneliness.”

I SEE RIVERS have not been scared to take risks to create a piece of extraordinary art. The trio do not disappoint as they channel their well known, feel-good energy through songs such as ‘Helios’ and ‘Grow and Go’ meanwhile guiding the listener through heartbreak allowing for space to breathe and reflect with ‘ITILMTBWIA’ and ‘Oh God’ reminding us of their folk roots from which their first two EP’s were born. For the first time, I SEE RIVERS unveil a slightly darker side through tracks ‘Collide’ and ‘We Don’t Get More Time’ illuminating their evolution and growing maturity as a group, both personally and sonically. The epic vocal arrangements in ‘Out of Breath’ and the final title track ‘Deep and Rolling Green’ and the soundscapes in ‘Elio Elio Elio’ and ‘The Fortress of Fish’ highlight the true diversity and quality of this album.

‘Deep and Rolling Green’ was recorded in the renovated Carmel Chapel StudiOwz’ with their incredible team; Owain Jenkins, Toby Couling, Alec Brits and Emilie Krogh Johannessen. After creating their first EP in Owain’s dad’s shed all those years back, they have gone through a journey through true dedication and friendship.

I SEE RIVERS release their debut album on 2nd October and will be available on all streaming platforms, CD and vinyl.
