Today pop singer, songwriter, and producer Molly Moore has released two new songs “Careful” and “Identity Crisis” from her forthcoming debut album Voice on the Internet, out November 13th – CLICK HERE to stream both songs. Lead single “Careful” takes fans on a retro-tinged ride with a sultry bass line brimming with glistening chimes as Molly addresses the fact that what you see online isn’t the full scope or reality of life and was co-written by Larzz Principato (Halsey, Dua Lipa, Oh Honey) and Allie Crystal (Robinson, Illenium, Gazzo, King Deco) – CLICK HERE to stream. Meanwhile “Identity Crisis” switches gears sonically as it weaves warm bass and horns into a slow burning groove as Molly delves into the difficulties of being vulnerable and putting your true self out into the world – CLICK HERE to listen.
The two tracks share a complimentary message which can be heard throughout Voice on the Internet about being addicted to social media and the idea that it is difficult to know if what you see online is real. Molly shares, “’Careful’ is about getting so lost in other people’s lives that you lose sight of your own. It’s a warning song to other people to learn from my mistakes and to not fall into the trap of thinking you need anything external to feel happy.” She continues, “At the same time, ‘Identity Crisis’ is about shedding the ideas that society has created for you about who you should be and embracing who you really are underneath it all. It’s about needing connection even when you’re hurting and still finding yourself and learning that your authentic self is always the one that will resonate most with other people.”
“Careful” and “Identity Crisis” follow Molly’s recently released single and video for “Handsomer” ft. Maty Noyes, an intoxicating post break-up banger about transcending the negative emotions following the end of a relationship while challenging the social stigmas typically associated with femininity and embracing a newfound independence – PRESS HERE to watch the video.
