You know what they say, variety is the spice of life, and when it comes to bingo calls, there is plenty of variety! This is great news for bingo players as there are lots of different types of bingo to play, from themed bingo games to different variations of the classic game, including the 80-ball bingo game which is often seen as a kind of hybrid of the 90-ball bingo game popular in the UK and the 75-ball bingo game played mostly in the US.
While it’s not quite as popular as the much loved leading two variations of bingo, 80-ball bingo is still an extremely fun game and those who play it love it for its fast-paced gameplay and find it an extremely exhilarating and fun version of bingo. Like all other types of bingo, all you’ll need to win is a little bit of concentration and some luck!
How do you play 80-ball bingo?
Like the majority of other versions of bingo, 80-ball bingo is very simple to play, even for those who haven’t played other versions of bingo before. But if you’re used to either the 75-ball or 90-ball bingo game, there are a couple of things you should be aware of before playing 80-ball bingo.
The bingo cards on the 80-ball bingo game are square in shape, however, they consist of a 4×4 grid and each square contains a number from 1-80. Numbers are drawn using a random number generator and each number can only be drawn once just like in all other bingo games so the numbers drawn are completely random! Players then need to dab the numbers off their bingo cards as they are drawn and hopefully land a winning combination or all of the number to win a full house.
How do you win?
Each 4×4 grid is made up of 16 squares with a total of 16 number of each ticket and a strip contains 5 tickets comprising every number from 1-80. There are different prizes on offer with this variation of bingo including a single line which is won by the first player to dab all numbers in either a diagonal, vertical or horizontal line, or dab each of the four corners or four middle squares on the bingo card and a full house for the first player to cover all numbers on the bingo card.
Where can I play 80-ball bingo?
Just a few years back it wasn’t easy to find games of 80-ball bingo, but now the bingo variant is becoming increasingly popular online and now there’s so many different sites you can play this version at, as well as many other bingo variations! You really are spoilt for choice when it comes to online bingo and its many variations. The best place to play 80-ball bingo is undoubtedly online as there is just so much choice.
So, if you’re a bingo fan and you’re looking for something a little different from the usual classic 90-ball bingo game, give the 80-ball bingo game a whirl and see if it’s lucky for you!
