4.      Bill Haley & His Comets – Rock Around the Clock

A 1954 rock and roll classic. Rock Around the Clock reached 25 million in sales worldwide and was one of the most popular groups at the time.

5.      USA for Africa – We Are the World

A beautiful moment in human history when We Are the World has released to raise awareness as well as raise funds for the poor in Africa. The song was written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie and then performed for the first time by USA for Africa. The single reached over 20 million in sales.

6.      Ed Sheeran – Shape of You

The only song on the list from the 21st century is Shape of you by Ed Sheeran. Quite the accomplishment for the 2017 single to be amongst the biggest singles of all time. Shape of You hit top of the charts worldwide and managed to make 19 million in sales.
