Visionary DJ/producer Whethan has lured his longtime friend and collaborator Oliver Tree out of retirement for their latest electrifying new collaboration. “Freefall (feat. Oliver Tree)” drops today and is accompanied by a lyric visual streaming now HERE.
“Me and Oliver have been working together forever,” Whethan shared. “We put out ‘When I’m Down’ 4 years ago and it was our first song that really blew up and got us both record deals. Here we are, years later, still working together and we’re putting out our best song to date.”
“I made this song before I retired,” Oliver Tree explained, “there’s a couple features that I have from pre-retirement that may or may not come out.”
“Freefall” heralds Whethan’s wildly anticipated debut album, FANTASY, due at long last this fall. The propulsive track marks the latest and perhaps greatest collaboration between the Chicago-based electronic artist and the one and only Oliver Tree, following five co-written/co-produced tracks featured on Tree’s chart-topping debut album, Ugly is Beautiful. Among their united efforts is the provocative hit single, “Let Me Down,” joined by an official companion video hailed by Billboard as “hilarious and super weird” upon its spring premiere.
