Los Angeles based artist and producer Kingdom today releases his sophomore album NEUROFIRE, an electrifying follow-up to his breakthrough debut album Tears in the Club. The 2020 release is a musical genesis that elevates the past mood of pervasive anxiety into a moment of transformation, redemption and ultimately, freedom. NEUROFIRE features guest vocals from GHOST, Kayla Blackmon, Tiara Thomas, Pheona, UNIQU3, Semma, LUVK and Tre Oh Fie and is available everywhere digitally via the coveted indie label Fade To Mind.
Accompanying NEUROFIRE, Kingdom has unleashed a new official video for breakout single “Lightning” feat. emerging singer Kayla Blackmon, whose voice compliments the production perfectly as she performs through a seamless sequence of terrestrial visuals. Visionary experimental nail artist Sojin Oh created the nails & styled the clothing, as well as overall creative direction alongside Kingdom and Noemi Polo. Sharing more insight into the collaboration and video, Kingdom says “Working with Kayla on this visual breathed new life into the song for me. Kayla’s movements are so fluid and commanding. Filming the final shot on the wet ultra-reflective fabric was my favorite moment and created an effect I had never seen before, completely otherworldly and fitting for the slippery high energy atmosphere of the song.” Kayla adds “Lightning is a song about love and obsession, and the electricity between two people right before they make contact. The collaboration came together so effortlessly to create this musical and visual masterpiece. I really appreciate Kingdom for putting together this amazing vision and to everyone who helped! I’m so grateful to be a part of it all!”
A nod to discovering and working with breakout talent on the rise, this album has a notable list of new voices from the producer known for making career-defining music with some of today’s most respected voices. Before this, he dropped standout single “No More Same” feat. LUVK, a song originally released on Bandcamp as part of their charity initiative towards the NAACP.The first look at NEUROFIRE came in late 2019 via “High Enough”, another album highlight featuring R&B muse Tiara Thomas, originally appearing EXTERRA Vol. 1, a six track EP. Kingdom once again proves his talent of blending R&B and pop electro music effortlessly with lustrous vocals in this euphoric album.
