Corey Harper returns today with a stunning stripped performance video for his emotive ballad “Entertainment.” Released earlier this summer, the original track has gone on to receive praise from fellow artists including Justin Bieber. Today’s visual finds Corey delivering a striking new version of the record from a dimly lit room, accompanied by only his piano and his powerful, raspy voice. On “Entertainment (Stripped),” the artist showcases a raw tenderness that reinforces his credentials as one of the most promising rising acts on the scene today.
The video was directed by Alejandro Reyes-Knight and was filmed at the Venice-based artist collective Winston House. It’s now streaming on Corey’s official YouTube Channel. CLICK HERE to watch and HERE to listen to the audio.
“This song was born from my personal turmoil dealing with a world and industry that often times doesn’t seem to care what you have to say,” says Corey Harper. “A culture of social media and entertainment that can be shallow and lack meaning. I wanted to strip this song down and bring forward the lyrics and emotion. It’s my way of continuing to fight through that noise to reach something real.”
