Vents: Hi Lil Haiti, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?
Lil Haiti: I’ve been great.
Vents: Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Panicking”?
Lil Haiti: Panicking is pretty straight-forward. Anyone knows if you drink Hennessy it makes you act different. In my case, the people around me are street guys. You have to panic when they off that Hennessy. You don’t know how they are going to act when they pull up.
Vent: Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?
Lil Haiti: No. Not really. I just really be in the zone and just go with the flow and mood.
Vents: How was the filming process and experience behind the video?
Lil Haiti: The process was amazing. I had such a great time with the cast members. They made me feel welcome and like a star that I am. Lol. Everyone was very professional, especially the videographer Tyler.
Vents: How was the recording and writing process?
Lil Haiti: It was super easy. One take. I don’t usually write songs. I like to just turn off the lights and get in the zone. Harmonize the words until I catch a vibe.
Vents: What was it like to work with Mia Milz and Kush Flo? How did those relationships develop?
Lil Haiti: Kush Flo is actually my day one. We started a label together T.O.M.G. Records (The Original Music Group). We met back in high school and instantly connected with each other. Kush and I created “The Wave” back in 2015 which went viral. As far as Mia Milz, I met her on the set that day. She was very open to work and definitely a great soul. Shout out to her.
Vents: How much did they get to influence the song?
Lil Haiti: They fell in love with the song and wanted to be part of history and the growth and of course they fell in love with the Big Zoe energy.
Vents: What role does Haiti play in your music?
Lil Haiti: I’m the big Zoe in the video, the boss.
Vents: Does the new single mean we can expect a new material? How’s that coming along?
Lil Haiti: Yes. We have a bunch of new material on the way! My Ep is actually done. We may drop it soon and I’m releasing a leak called “Poland Spring” with a video shortly.
Vents: Any tentative release date or title in mind?
Lil Haiti: Probably November, I hope. My EP will be called The Big Zoe Vol. 1.
Vents: What else is happening next in Lil Haiti’ world?
Lil Haiti: Everyone knows I’m a people’s person. As soon COVID-19 is over, I want to connect with my fans more. I want to create a foundation to give back to the people who are less fortunate. I want to create opportunities for the young kids and give them some type of hope. I want to be the ears for them. The support they need. Lack of support is one of the reasons a lot of these kids are so lost. I want to be there for them. OH!! OH!! ANALE
