Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Missin’ You”?
WA: This single has been archived for over a year and my fans are well deserving.
Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?
WA: Broken relationships throughout my past.
Any plans to release any sort of video for the track?
WA: Soon come, currently building the creative team and working on minor details. I really want my fans to feel connected and a part of my journey.
How was the recording and writing process?
WA: The writing segment is the best part, creating music is therapeutic. I’ve been doing this for such a long time it’s second nature.
Known for your freestyle approach – is there a time where you actually stop and write down your lyrics or everything is improvised?
WA: That was a great time, just fun and lots of improvising.
What role does Houston play in your music?
WA: Houston, plays a major role in my creativity and lyrics. The south has many influential artists who’ve created the lane for generations today. The south is legendary.
Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?
