Hi Felitche! How are you?
I am good thank you! I am so excited to be a part of this interview, thank you for having me!
Where are you from?
I am from Vancouver, Canada where I am currently based out of! Born and raised for 21 years there before my big move to Toronto and then LA.
What is your greatest inspiration for your music?
My inspiration comes from the people. I notice people are more down then they are up so I always try to make encouraging lyrics and upbeat tempos to liven up everyone’s lives. My sister is special needs and she can’t function on her own. Her way of communicating is through music, so I always make sure my songs make her happy, and then I know I have a good one on my hands.
What are 3 words that describe your music?
3 words to describe my music would definitely be crazy, fun, and energy. I always make songs with those words in mind. Probably why I suck at writing something sad.
What is the hardest subject you’ve ever written about?
Writing about my breakup when I was younger was very difficult for me. She cheated and really broke me to pieces, even physically abusive at times. It’s hard to write those feelings but they always create incredible songs because it’s from experience, so I have to fight through it to write.
What are the challenges of being an artist?
The biggest challenge of being an artist is always funding. When you are in my position and you need everything to sound polished and videos to look high end. You need funding. I love music as a business more than just music. So to keep the career profitable and moving forward without a major label, funding is always difficult.
Are you planning on releasing new music soon?
I am excited to share my strongest piece of work “HEADLIGHTS” with the world! It is on all platforms and we are just waiting for Spotify to playlist the song as Covid has caused some setbacks. It’s a great driving song and one of those infectious tracks that makes you feel good no matter your situation.
