Folk-Pop Songstress Penelope Unveils New Single “coming home”

New York-born and raised singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Penelope unveils her new single “coming home” today via VFiles. The songstress channels folk intimacy, soul energy, and pop expanse on her new single, while a dusty acoustic guitar resounds underneath her graceful delivery. The song builds towards a fluttering refrain and a promise, “I’m coming home to you,” timely for the single who just moved back home to New York. In addition, Penelope also released the lyric video for “Coming Home” exclusively via Atwood Magazine. Click HERE to watch!

While music has always been ingrained in Penelope’s life, she grew up an avid soccer player, even playing internationally for the Australian Youth National Teams. After being recruited to Stanford’s soccer team, Penelope’s initial life plans were derailed with an injury that ended her career. During this hard time in her life, she honed in on her songwriting skills using music as a therapeutic outlet. “I felt like I had a competitiveness that could be applied to music. You prove yourself through skill, talent, and dedication in soccer, which is a lot like the music industry. I know my own strength from what I’ve endured on the field.”

A quiet drive clears your mind. In the same manner, Penelope’s music presses the reset button and refreshes the spirit. Delicate acoustic guitar and cinematic piano carry her honest stories of life, friendships, and relationships. In the end, Penelope’s music is perfect to cruise through anything life might throw at you.
