SINGLE REVIEW: Lets Change The World by Ciaran Gribbin

Ciaran Gribbin is a Northern Irish singer-songwriter, guitarist and producer with an amazing musical history and he’s just released a stirring new track Let’s Change The World. A Grammy-nominated songwriter and performer who, in addition to working with legends such as Madonna, U2, Paul McCartney, Snow Patrol and Al Pacino, has toured the world as the singer of INXS. His new track Let’s Change the World follows a long history of outstanding career highs. Ciaran’s first band Leya released a successful album and toured with bands such as Snow Patrol, Scissor Sisters, Franz Ferdinand and Embrace. Ciaran also performed backing vocals on Snow Patrol’s album Eyes Open. He has also collaborated/co-written with many big international names including Deadmau5 and Paul Oakenfold, with whom he co-wrote Madonna’s track Celebration, for which he received a Grammy nomination. Ciaran also toured with many artists including GotyePowderfingerThe Script and opened for Sir Paul McCartney at the Hard Rock Calling Festival in Hyde Park, London. Ciaran also wrote and produced soundtrack albums for the films Killing Bono and Heartless. Ciaran’s new single, co-written with Francis Rossi and Bob Young from the iconic rock band Status Quo, is a compelling blend of contemporary folk-rock and pop sensibilities. It utilizes an emotionally supercharged vocal performance and an incisive lyric to explore a big theme that has more relevance today than it ever has: hope and the endless potential of people power. The new single follows the release from earlier this year, Hey Misery, and just like his performance on that track Ciaran’s incredibly engaging vocal style is a cut above; hypnotic and as sophisticated and self-assured as his songwriting abilities. Let’s Change The World’s is somewhere between rock, pop and folk, a universal style with a lyric that has a universal message and one that is sure to resonate with many.
